Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening involves bleaching the teeth to lighten the colour of the enamel. It is an excellent treatment for individuals with heavily discoloured teeth, particularly for smokers and heavy coffee drinkers. The main ingredients used in tooth whitening products are hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. A light accelerator lamp is used to speed up the activation of the active ingredients within the gel to help achieve a whiter and brighter smile.

Teeth whitening is not suitable for:

- pregnant/breastfeeding women

- individuals with sensitive teeth

- individuals with gum disease or untreated dental issues

- individuals with cavities 

- those under 14 years of age

Teeth whitening will not work on teeth with crowns, veneers or fillers. ​

The effects of one teeth whitening treatment can last anywhere between 3-6 months post treatment depending on how well the person follows post treatment care, and how well their at home dental cleaning routine is. Individual results may vary. 

The initial treatment consists of 2 x 30 minute intervals.

Touch up treatments consist of 2 x 20 minute intervals.
